Getting back in it: Workout Song of the Day

For the past month (maybe more but I refuse to admit it), I haven't seen the inside of a gym. It was tough running 2 websites - one recently started, plus working full time, and trying to juggle building a new life in the state of Michigan. Going to the gym suffered, my eating habits suffered and I felt like a fraud writing about healthy foods and making workout playlists, when my own stuff wasn't together - but that was also my motivation to get back into doing what needed to be done. So I went back - and shit I missed it.

BATTLES Atlas

I stupidly tried starting by doing the same things I had done before. My body pretty much laughed in my face. I can't run as fast, or lift as much -but this is just motivation to keep me going back until I can. I get through it with music. I have to change my workout playlist every few days.One song that was on repeat yesterday - call it my Workout Song of the Day, was Atlas by Battles. It's the 2nd song on their album, Mirrored. That is one of the best songs to put on while you are on the elliptical and just go! It's fast paced and pumping beats - timeless!
